Michael Neulinger is a Vienna-based writer and director. He holds a master’s degree in Cultural Studies and Film Studies from the University of Vienna and honed his skills further by attending a film and acting program at NYFA in NYC.

After moving to Los Angeles, Michael worked on various film projects, including his debut short film "Cobalt", which premiered at the Barcelona Short Film Festival. Now back in Vienna, he works as a freelance filmmaker for clients such as Erwin Wurm, MAK Museum for Applied Arts, Kunst Haus Wien, Vienna Design Week, the Vienna Stock Exchange, etc.

Alongside his freelance work, Michael focuses on other creative projects, including the experimental dance video "I Will Break Your Face", which explores intimate partner violence in same-sex relationships, while also working on his first feature-length film, "Verwerfung“, dealing with abuse, intrusive thoughts and destructive relationships.
